I have just read your current on-line message, and was particularly struck by this sentence : "Travailing prayer pushes back the heavy threats of clouds of darkness and causes you to move beyond the visible and natural to the very throne of God where the answer is."  Praise God that he gives you such clarity for us, as he carries you into the prophetic.

(b)  Praise the Lord!  On the day I came to you for counseling for a conference that the Lord wants me to organise in August 2008,  I had no sponsors then.  My church did not want to support me but you prayed for me and gave me a word from Jeremiah saying "With God all things are possible.".  On the next day I met a sister who reminded me of the conference I was to organise and she indicated that she will sponsor me $10,000.00. Praise the Lord.  I knew it was your prayer that brought about this financial miracle.

 

  

I just received the Word this morning that the Church must not be divided. This might tally with your preaching of Unity and Fellowship. I recently saw a movie documentary on Jesus Camp, which shows Evengelical Christian Children in America fervently pursuing God in their Lives. Truly remarkable and powerful. They pray in tongues and the fire in their spirit is so full of life. I was touched by it. Seemingly we adults might not even have the courage of children who is pure and strong. They seem more than LIFE with Jesus in their spirit!!! It doesn't seem they are speaking but the Voice of God thru them. I guess we have experienced this in many times of our Christian walk. Praise God!!! LET US SPEAK WHAT YOU WANT US TO SPEAK AND DO WHAT YOU WANT US TO DO, LORD!!! It is no more us that live but the Holy Spirit that lives in us. Wow!!! Simply Unbelievable!!!
 
Like in any organisation, empowerment is truly the essence of multiplication. It is time to identify hard working, reliable, trustworthy and faithful man of God to work in the Church. We must be slow to criticise & quick to motivate to unleash the talents and gifts of workers in the Church. Each have a fit of their own according to God's plan and purpose. Most important of all, people should NOT serve with motive in their hearts but willingness to glorify the kingdom of God. All power must be submitted to Christ our Lord and Savior with one purpose and goal in the Church. In this way, we will have Unity. That's what i truly believe.
 
Similarly in all successful Organisation, it is filled with talented, motivated, passionate and happy people. Most important element is people get the FUN of it to be creative and innovative. Likewise in a Church, we must create a comfortable environment filled with love, joy and fun. All these essence are applied in area of music, teaching, preaching and fellowshipping. In this way, people will have a sense of belonging and is enjoying serving the Lord. Even King David dances in the presence of God in front of all people who looks at him strangely. He enjoys the process of serving the Lord.....
 
This are just some insights inside my mind.... hope it is of inspiration to fill your spirit. People are never tired of having fun and joy.

Hi Pastor Alicia, thank you for your good sermon and wonderful worship. Truly He makes all things beautiful in His time. 

I continue to re-read your article in your website, and it is such a blessing.  With your encouragement, I have been before the Lord this morning, with my pen in my hand.  The Lord spoke much about you, and so I am quoting it to you below, exactly as it came :

 

"Stay (Michael) close to Alicia, as she is my handmaiden and I have chosen her to do great things, far beyond her natural ability.  I will sustain her, and she will not need to want for strength.  She will bring my word to the nations, and I shall sustain her.  I shall gather people about her who will also bring her My counsel.  I am astonished at her obedience.  So many whom I call flag [become weary] or are diverted, and I am unable to depend on them.  But Alicia has devoted her soul to me, and she is single-minded about it.  She has a heart for the nations, for the lost, for the hurting, for the confused, for the impoverished of spirit.  I am showing her kingdoms and I am showing her principalities and powers, and I am showing her the deep things of my heart as I did John at Patmos....She will continue to write and speak far beyond her natural expectations; and it will be like there is a heavenly host, unseen by most, about her.  ...She is now rock-solid, and in My strength the enemy will not stop her.  She will cause men to weep as they begin to see Me clearly, and their place in My kingdom. ... Isaiah 13.2 will be an important scripture for you Michael, and Micah 8.3 for you Alicia.  You [Alicia] are to preach it at Eastertime. ...Alicia has an almost 'closet' role [as she prepares herself] as my mouthpiece - as I bring her revelation.  She needs the support of such as you, Michael, because the prophetic can be a lonely role.  She is conscious of this.  I have placed a team around her who are absolutely devoted to her and will in a sense act as a shield around her."

I was called for reservists from 20th to 31st August and I was anxious about the targets for this month. But praise God not only has He helped me to achieve almost my month's target within the first week of August but also He opened the door for me to be able to return home every evening that enabled me to attend worship service on Tuesday & Sundays plus the ability to attend to my customers in the evening. There is real breakthrough in tithing. I did not understand the principle of tithing until the Holy Spirit prompted Ps Alicia to give me a book on finances for my business. I give all glory to God for His faithfulness. He truly did not short-change us.

Pastor, I have completed the course on Diploma in business management and have passed all the 5 modules. I even scored 2 distinctions. It is incredible. Praise the Lord.

(Bro. Bobby came for prayers and also joined us in one of our prayer meetings before he went for the exams).

Thank you and praise God. I feel the power of the enemy being broken in my life as I go into daily repentance. Warfare worship last Tuesday had been useful too. Thank God for a spiritual mom like you.

My sister Alice and I decided to sow generously with both our hands when Ps Alicia challenged us to sow a precious seed doubling what we usually sowed. We sowed in anticipation of multiplication of souls and praise God the Church received two salvations last Sunday. We give all glory to God.

Ps Alicia:     

Prompted by the Spirit I sowed double my usual amount by faith during two preaching sessions of Ps. Chidi and praise God I learnt from my husband Peter that he had a contract up to end of the year for two teaching jobs. God is indeed faithful. His income is now double. Everything will be doubled as you faithfully trust Him with your portion. There is no better investment than investing in the Kingdom of God.

Jinadhan:     

Pastor, I went to you for counseling last Tuesday and through your prayers I have found a job and the Company is applying for employment pass for me. However, I have to work from 12 noon to 9 p.m. daily. But I will try to make it every Sunday for worship

(Jinardhan has been sending CVs to companies but there was not a singleresponse. He had obtained a loan to study his Masters Degree in Singapore and without a job he has to return to India which his brother is discouraging. Praise God for instant answered prayers. Let's pray that his employer will be able to release him at least for Sunday service.)

Respected Pastor, through your prayers, I have found a part-time job (5.30-10.00 p.m.) and God is so good. The employer is prepared to release me for Bible Study on Friday.

Brother Darren Choo:     

We sometimes wonder why we spend our time worrying about things that probably will never happen. Worry is mentally rehearsing a potential disaster. Mark Twain said "I've had a lot of trouble in my life, most of which never happened".

We worry about yesterday and tomorrow. Yesterday has passed away. We cannot reverse the mistakes and blunders we made. Neither can we erase a single word we said or act we did. Tomorrow is just another great day of promises and excitement or even a sad day full of regrets and fear. None of us knows what tomorrow will bring and yesterday is only history. Jesus said "why worry about tomorrow, when tomorrow can worry for itself" is so true.

How many times do we worry about things and ruin our present situation because we do not see the marvellous opportunities right in front of us. Worry does not help tomorrow's troubles but it does ruin today's happiness. British Prime Minister, Winston Churchill advised, 'Let your advance worrying become advance thinking and planning'.

The bible has given us several assurances from God time and again; yet we have doubts in our hearts. It is no wonder that we worry many times for nothing. But, I have good news for you. You do not need to worry as long as you meditate on these six words 'We become what we think about'. If we think we can achieve the mission budget or even the building project budget, we can. If we think we cannot make it, we can't. If you think you can achieve success you can. The bible says in Proverbs 23:7 'As the mind thinketh so be it'. Nightingale found that all of the great writers,philosophers and religous leaders have agreed on the power of thought and belief in creating our results.

Napolean Hill: "What the mind can conceive and believe, the mind can achieve".
Ralph Waldo Emerson: "A man is what he thinks about all day long".
Henry Ford: "Whether you think you can or think you can't, you are right".
Dennis Waitley: You can't expect positive results when you spend ten seconds a day thinking positively and the remaining 16 waking hours dwelling on negative outcomes.

If we worry and think that we cannot achieve a certain standard or even a sales target, we will not be able to make it. We need to listen to more motivational tapes of pastors or leaders who would bring us to the positive realm. Of course, we must act and put the ideas to work.

Worry is like a rocking chair; it will give you something to do but it will not get you anywhere.

However positive thinking does not mean that you will achieve your goals overnight. Success requires effort, committment and patience. Remember everything we achieve in our lives flow from our thoughts and beliefs. Negative thinking produce negative results and will cause one to worry unceasingly. Positive thinking produce positive results. So choose your thoughts wisely and use this powerful principle to get the fantastic results you want and deserve. You should always repeat to yourself that you can and will accomplish your goal.

The bible assured us:

• When we ask we receive
• When we ask if only we believe, we receive
• Be anxious for nothing, but in everything by prayer and supplication with thanksgiving let your requests be made known to God; (Phil 4:4-6)
• Do not be anxious for your life, as to what you shall eat, or what you shall drink, nor for your body as to what you shall put on. Is not life more than food, and the body more than clothing? Look at the birds of the air, that they do not sow neither do they reap, nor gather into barns and yet your heavenly father feeds them. (Mt 6:25-26)
• Do not be anxious for tomorrow; for tomorrow will care for itself. Each day enough trouble of it's own (Mt 6:34)
• Seek ye first the Kingdom of God and His righteousness and all these things shall be added unto you.
  
  The list of assurances go on from the old to new testaments. Do you have faith that God can do a mighty work through your life? Do you have faith to believe that God can turn your adversities into blessings? if you do, then don't worry.

  I was afflicted with pain in the chest on one of our Wednesday Corporate Prayer meetings, nevertheless I attended the meetings as deep in my heart I knew God will heal me on that night.
  
  Whilst the worship was going on, God came to minister to us in a special way. Ps. Alicia felt led to anoint the congregation. When she came to pray for me, I fell under the power of God and whilst on the floor, God ministered healing to me. When I got up, the pain instantly left me. Praise God for His healing. He heals yesterday, today and forever. (Heb 13:8). He is Jehovah Raphe. Glory be to His Name, Jesus Name above all names.

  In mid January, my friend called me up to explain her plight about her lack as her boss refused to pay her dues for 9 months as a result of which she wanted to tender her resignation. She asked for prayer for supernatural provision. I prayed for her over the phone and also at one of our Corporate Prayer meetings on Wednesday. Though I believe that God will answer this prayer I did not expect instant results. On Saturday this friend called to thank me for praying for her as her boss has decided to pay her dues for 9 months and at the same time agreed to give her an appointment letter for her employment. God is indeed a God of answers. He knows all our needs. As in the book of James, "The effective prayer of a righteous man can accomplish much". It was indeed a miracle and God is indeed Jehovah Jireh who provides the needs of His people. He is truly our Shepherd. We shall never be in lack. Praise the Lord!
  
  I challenge you to attend our prayer meetings on Wednesday and on Saturday morning. He is awesome in our Church.

  On our overnight service on 31st December 2003 a brother of our Church was led to take up an offering for the Church. It was at that moment that God began to speak to my heart to empty my wallet as my sacrificial offering unto Him. For a moment, I was struggling as I worked only for three days in December 2003. However, I obeyed the Lord and placed all that I had in the wallet into the offering bag. Two days my boss called me up to give me a cheque for the three days I worked. I was amazed to see that the cheque was for an amount not equivalent to the three days work but God has amazingly placed upon his heart to sow an amount to me equivalent to 2000 fold of my offering. This enabled me not only to pay the tithes for December but also helped provide for my needs for the month of January 2004. All glory to the Lord Almighty! This is the reward of obedience. Like Isaac in the Bible I sowed in lack but received a hundred fold which is equivalent to not double the amount but 2000 times. Praise the Lord!

  Ever since I attended Breakthrough City of Truth Church (BCC) some two months ago, I have experienced breakthroughs in my family life, some of which I would like to share herein:-
  
  For the first time in my life after being a Christian for so many years, God spoke to me in my dreams through bible verses. First time: Eph 5:22 & 5:28. He reminds me and my wife of our wedding vows and responsibilities as husband & wife. That was so awesome and today there are more peace at home now!
  
  God also used my son to speak to me. He reminded me to teach my son and to bring him up in the ways of the lord ( Deut 4:10-12). On a recent occasion, He made use of my son to confirm the place where he would be placed for his kindergarten.
  
  Then in another occasion, I fell asleep in the MRT when I was awaken with a dream/vision of a lady & a child lying on the road and shouting for help. I immediately started to pray for my wife and son, fearing that that might be them. And praise God, that night while inside a car driven by my father-in-law, there were many "close shaves" with other cars and the car actually stalled twice in the middle of the road. And there was a near accident along Lentor Ave. Praise God for His love and mercy that helps avert that accident.
  
  I would like to encourage those who are looking for breakthroughs in their life, be it in the area of family, biz, relationship, intimacy with God etc to visit BCC and experience the great presence of our Living God in this church.

  Ever since I came back to the Lord some four years ago, my spiritual understanding has increased tremendously and I had personally experienced the Lord's manifestations in my life. I would like to attribute my spiritual understanding to Pastor Alicia who had been such a blessing to me.
  
  Having attended a local Anglican Church , it took me quite a while to accept and understand the Pentecostal way of worship at Breakthrough City of Truth Church (BCC. Johanna, my daughter was initially not comfortable attending BCC and so for a while I had to attend the church service on Sun morning at my previous Church followed by BCC service in the afternoon. Naturally, I prayed that Johanna would attend BCC and to support what I am doing at BCC. Sometime late Jan 04 , Johanna attended the BCC service and on the way home she told me that she would continue to attend BCC service. I was very happy that she felt led to support BCC. God has answered my prayer ! Praise his Holy Name
  
  My son Malvyn was rather skeptical about BCC and my involvement there. When the BCC needed a computer, I asked him whether he was keen to fix up one for BCC. Initially, he hesitated but after a day or two later he acceded to my request. For I believed God must have stirred his heart to fix up that computer for BCC. Praise the Lord !.
  
  Although the above are small manifestations of God's work, I believe God is going to give me a bigger breakthrough soon. Glory be to His Name on high !
